Volunteer Fire Fighters/EMTs Needed!
The Lake Cavanaugh Fire Department has a number of opennings for Fire Fighter recruits, First Aid Responders, EMTs, and other positions. These positions are almost totally unpaid ($5 per Call or drill – might pay for gas?) There are, however, many perks and benefits:
- U can drive brightly colored vehicles with lights and sirens
- U can operate a really, really large PWC that sprays lots of water
- Or play with really big garden hoses and put out fires
- Lots of free training for first aid, fire fighting, CPR, etc.
- Work clothes provided, along with sturdy rubber boots
- Work hours are flexible and very weird
- But, there are at least two free dinners provided
- U get to meet lots of interesting people
On a more serious note:
- Help your local Fire Dept. help protect your neighbors
- If interested call the Chief or any of the commissioners as listed nearby
- Or come by one of our regularly scheduled drills, usually at the fire hall.
