Thank You!
As the new directors of this years ‘Once Around Lake Cavanaugh Fun Run’, Ann and Linda Lemke would like to thank all of the dedicated volunteers from our community; the Lake Cavanaugh firefighters, the Lake Cavanaugh Fire Department Auxiliary, our friends and family, and the many sponsors and participants that helped to make our 26th annual fun run a huge success! We would also like to thank Walmart, Safeway, Haggen, and Costco for donating all the water, cups and fruit for this event. Last, but not least, we want to thank, last years director, Larita Humble for providing us with written detailed information on “how to” organize and direct a race. We registered 185 runners, bikers and walkers this year, who enjoyed a “cool”, but “dry” race. With the profit from the Fun Run, we were able to complete the purchase of a thermal imaging camera which will aid in search and rescue and fire hot spot detection.
