Welcome To The Official Website Of The Lake Cavanaugh Improvement Association
Not only is Lake Cavanaugh a beautiful place to live and play, but we also pride ourselves in being a small community that works together toward common goals. The Lake
Cavanaugh Improvement Association (LCIA) and the Lake Cavanaugh Fire Department Auxiliary (LCFDA) are our two active organizations.
The LCIA sends out a periodic newsletter informing us of current community events, important “dates to remember” and issues pertinent to the well being of our lake. We also have a website at www.lakecavanaugh.info to keep you up to date with local information. The LCIA also has four summer-time meetings at the fire hall that you may attend and discuss lake issues and keep abreast of upcoming community events. Being a community member and current dues payer, allows you to vote on such things as appropriating funds for committees and the annual election of officers. The LCIA has established committees such as boating safety, logging, water quality and our new community center building, each giving status reports at these meetings.
The LCFDA is instrumental in planning a spaghetti feed, the Memorial Day weekend pancake breakfast, selling t-shirts, raffle tickets and other Lake Cavanaugh wares, the always popular children’s July 4th parade, the annual “Once around the Lake Fun Run/Walk,” and the Labor Day craft fair and games. All proceeds from these events provide revenue for our Lake Cavanaugh Volunteer Fire Department.
The Auxiliary cordially invites anyone to attend their meetings, which occur at 10AM on the second Saturday of the month, excluding the winter months, at the fire hall.
We also have non-denominational Sunday church services at the fire hall at 10AM during the summer months.
For payment of dues, please mail a check in the amount of $30 for a one year subscription to:
