LC Community Dance- Sept 4th

Floats and Fun for Everyone!

Lake Cavanaugh Community Dance

Sunday, September 4th

At the Lake Cavanaugh Community Center

7:30 p.m. Survival Swing Lesson with Christa Quackenbush. Whether you like Rock, Blues, R & B, Country or Big Band music, Swing is always in!  Learn a couple basic patterns with turns and spins. It’s great for nightclubs, weddings, parties or the ballroom! Come solo, with a partner or the whole family. All ages and skill levels are welcome.

Open Dancing 8:00 – 10:00 p.m. DJ Christa Quackenbush will play a mix of everybody’s favorites, from oldies to top 40’s, jumpin’ and jivin’ to crooners, partner dancing, freestyle and of course a few line dances . . . There’s something for everyone!  We’ll start with a short set of Swing so you can put what you learned together on the dance floor. Root beer floats are included.

The Lake Cavanaugh Community Center makes a great dance venue, both indoors and outside.  So join the fun! Indulge in a root beer float, connect with your neighbors and dance the night away!

$5 suggested donation to the LCIA for adults.  Kids are free.

We are looking for volunteers!  2-3 people for set-up 7-7:30pm, 2-4 people to build root beer floats 8-10pm, 3-4 people for clean-up 10-10:30pm.  If there’s a photographer out there (need not be a pro) to capture pictures let us know!  Email Christa Quackenbush at christa@washingtondance.com or call (206) 799-0416.
