Message from the LCIA President (May 2017)

Rob Pattermann – LCIA President

Greetings to all our Lake Cavanaugh family and friends.

It is my honor and privilege to serve our community as the new president of the LCIA. I will do my best to meet the goals and purpose of our organization as we  prioritize meeting the needs of our residents.

We all want to shout out a big “Thank You!” to Dr. Dan Pugerude who has served as our LCIA board president these past two years. He has done an outstanding job! We are thankful for his service and leadership will continue as an LCIA board member.

Our LCIA has three primary goals this year:

  1. Support the interests of Lake Cavanaugh property owners in all matters of mutual importance regarding land use and area development issues.
  2. Foster an environment of fun and recreation by developing and supporting lake activities that appeal to all ages.
  3. Continue to develop communication with our membership and all property owners.

Much is happening in the life of Lake Cavanaugh as we begin another new season together.

Members of the board were working hard over the winter with the county to give input into the new Shore Master Program (SMP.) Much progress has been made as we have continued to communicate the uniqueness of our lake and the importance of having a plan that serves the needs of our residents while also protecting our environment. The plan will be finalized soon. We will have a full report at the first general meeting.

After what seems like a long cold, wet, and snowy winter, we are finally getting a glimpse of spring and better weather ahead! Summer is just around the corner.

To “kick off” the new season the LCIA would like to announce our “Swing into Summer” Dance. The “Skagit Swings” Jazz Ensemble will provide live music, as they help us get into summer with music from the 40’s & 50’s. It is sure to be a fun time and a great way to start the summer. (See the article in this newsletter for additional details.)

The new directory is in its final stages and should be available to lake residents at the May 27 meeting.

If you or someone you know might be interested in serving on the LCIA board, please contact any board member. The new term will begin next fall. We will particularly be in need of someone to serve as treasurer.

We hope to see everyone at the first General Meeting of the year on Saturday, May 27th @ 10:00AM at the Community Center.

All the best,

Rob Pattermann
